PRESCOTT -- A Lewiston man was seriously injured this morning in a single-vehicle collision along State Route 124.
The Washington State Patrol reports that Aaron J. North, 26, apparently fell asleep about 4:50 a.m. while traveling east on the highway at Greenville Road.
North, who was the only one in the car and the only vehicle involved in the crash, appears to have drifted off the roadway to the right and struck a guardrail. The impact forced the vehicle to roll once, resting on its wheels, according to a report.
North was taken to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla for treatment of his injuries. He remained in serious condition late this morning, a nursing supervisor said.
The State Patrol reports North was not wearing a seatbelt, and drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash.
