RICHLAND - Waitsburg-Prescott took a loser-out baseball game from Liberty Christian, 12-1, here Tuesday.

"We had solid pitching, timely hitting and we played great defense," said W-P coach Dustin Snedigar. "I think everyone contributed."

Dru Somers had a very good day, Snedigar said.

"He really came through with big hits," Snedigar said. "He was pretty aggressive on base paths and he was able to rattle their pitcher. It was contagious. It was one of out better games this year and it was a good time to do it."

Somers and Dalton Estes had two hits apiece in the game.

Zach Bartlow, Estes and Somers had one RBI apiece. Lucan Gerke contributed two RBIs in the win.

W-P plays Tekoa-Oakesdale-Rosalia at 10 a.m. Saturday at Borleske Stadium. The winner of that game plays the loser of the DeSales-Asotin game for seeding into the regional tournament, while the loser goes home.
