A Garfield County judge has been reprimanded for offensive sexual comments made out of the courtroom to two female attorneys who appeared before him in court, according to a news release.
The state Commission on Judicial Conduct approved a stipulated order of reprimand against Garfield County District Court Judge John R. Henry during its Friday meeting.
According to the commission's release, Henry admitted having "engaged in remarks and conduct that were reasonably perceived to be offensive in a sexual context" with the two attorneys.
The commission's order requires Henry to participate at his own expense in training or counseling that focuses on harassment prevention, and to provide proof of satisfactory completion within a year.
The reprimand concludes the commission's proceedings against Henry, according to the release.
