DeSales grad Hamada helps Texas Tech softball team into NCAAs

LUBBOCK, Texas - DeSales graduate Ashley Hamada is starting right-fielder on Texas Tech's softball team that is playing in the NCAA tournament for the first time in 10 years Friday at Stanford.

Hamada, who was named to the All-Big 12 first team following the Red Raiders' 36-16 regular season, and third-seeded Texas Tech plays No. 2 seed Stanford Friday evening in the Stanford regional.

As of March 31, the sophomore Hamada had seven multi-hit games with seven doubles and 14 RBIs, as well as five steals on six attempts.
