Eve V. (Cashaback) Hussey, 93, passed away Friday, May 14, 2010, at Washington Odd Fellows Home in Walla Walla, Washington.

She was born July 7, 1916, inCochrane, Ontario, Canada to Mikeand Mollie (Chepeski) Cashaback.

Eve met the love of her life, Joseph"Joe" Hussey, while he was in the Armed Forces during World War II,
stationed in Dawson Creek, BritishColumbia, Canada. They were married November 17, 1942, at DawsonCreek. After the War, they made their home in Walla Walla.

She worked at Seattle First National Bank (Bank of America) as a teller until retiring after 31 years of service.

Eve was an avid bowler and loved to garden and cook. She was past president of the Walla Walla Women Bowlers Association, life member of Women's International Bowlers Congress, and an inductee into the Walla Walla Bowlers Association Hall of Fame. She was also an active member and held office in the Sunshine Club and Lady Elks (BPOE 287).

Eve is survived by one sister, Rita McMullen of Calgary, Alberta, Canada and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada andthe United States. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; her parents, one brother and six sisters.

Figuratively and literally, Eve was a Great Aunt; she will be missed.

At her request, a private inurnment will be held at theWaitsburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to theSunshine Club of Walla Walla through Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla, WA 99362.
