TROUT LAKE - Wa-Hi senior Annie Sovich finished the Mount Adams 50-mile Endurance Race here Saturday aboard Ernie Schrader's Arab mare, Riyadh.
It was her first race at 50 miles.
Schrader, also from Walla Walla, rode his horse, Captain Calypso, to a first-place finish at the 75-mile endurance distance.
Captain Calypso also won the coveted "Best Condition" prize.
He finished 40 minutes ahead of the second-place rider and almost three hours ahead of the next rider.
