Ski Bluewood seeks way to stay open

Ski Bluewood may be on a downhill slide if owners can't find a financial fix for the recreation operation.

Stan Goodell, who has owned the resort more than 26 years with his wife Nancy, said operators are in a "find-out-what-is-available kind of mode."

The Goodells are looking for someone to take over, a private-sector, government or non-profit entity in the months before the next season. The couple had previously put the resort up for sale in 2006.

Goodell said he's planning a meeting with government, business and recreation officials.

It will be the second of its kind in an effort to explore keeping Ski Bluewood open.
