WALLA WALLA - The Blue Crush of the Blue Mountain Soccer Club finished their season Saturday with a victory over the Sabers '96 of Spokane, 3-0, at Howard-Tietan Park.
The Crush competed in the Girls U-14 Reebok Division of District 6 of Washington State Youth Soccer Association this fall, finishing the season 9-0-1. The team's lone tie came in the first game of the season against the Sabers.
The Blue Crush allowed two goals against the entire season, while establishing an offense with every player having an assist or goal during the season.
"The girls really came together to play as a team and as the season progressed they controlled the ball as well as the tempo of the games," coach Bill Cox said. "It really was a team effort by all and they were a lot of fun to coach and watch play."
Members of the Blue Crush include Caitlin Christen, Courtney Cox, Miranda Doyle, Mikayla Ferenze, Allyson Gibbar, Katie Greene, Emily Hedine, Grace Kennedy, Kelsie Leisle, Molli Lesko, Rebecca Reyes, Madelyn Sirmon, Lexi Swenson.
