Paws up for holiday treats

In their first year in business, owners of the new pet supply store Wags to Whiskers doled out treats on Saturday to trick-or-treating dogs.

From 1-5 p.m., owner Linn?© Wagner and family were busy passing out pet food samples and other treats for both dogs and cats.

Only a half-hour into the celebration, 15 dogs in costumes had already been rewarded.

At one point, there was a bumblebee pit bull, two fairy whippets and an angelic Chihuahua all roaming the pet supply store at the same time. Though it should be noted the Chihuahua with the halo was the more aggressive dog there at the time.

As for the dressed up kitties, they were left out of Saturday's festivities. But Wagner pointed out that cats don't usually cooperate when it comes to dressing up.

"No they don't. And they don't like to leave the house and come here when there is a whole bunch of dogs," she added.
