PREP FOOTBALL - Burbank QB Lawrence's passing game too much for Highland

BURBANK - Heath Lawrence threw for six touchdowns and 313 yards as the Burbank quarterback led the Coyotes to a season-ending 41-0 rout of visiting Highland Friday night.

Lawrence found Dylan Smith for touchdown receptions of 18, 35 and 45 yards. He also hit Garrett Long for a 34-yarder, Angel Garcia from 18 yards out and Kevin Ireland for a 5-yard score.

Burbank opened up a 14-0 lead after the first quarter, added 15 more in before halftime and finished scoring with 12 points in the third quarter.

Garcia ened up with six catches for 111 yards and the TD in the game. Smith had four receptions for 110 yards and the three touchdowns.

Highland managed just 23 yards through the air, but did have 208 yards on the ground on 46 rushes.

The Coyotes finish the season 2-4 in South Central East Division play, 4-5 overall.
