MOSES LAKE - Walla Walla Community College got 14 kills apiece from Nikki Long and Libby Kern during a 25-20, 28-26, 25-16 victory over Big Bend in an NWAACC Eastern Region volleyball match Friday night.
"It's been a while since we have throttled a team - it was nice," WWCC coach Tim Toon said. "Offensively, this was one of our best performances of the season. We owned the net all night."
Long also contributed nine digs and three blocks.
Corrine Holbrook added 11 kills, five digs and three blocks for the Warriors. Kayla Hanus had 42 assists ad two aces, Carley Miller upped 18 digs and M.J. Celentano had 12 digs for WWCC.
"Nikki had an outstanding match in every statistical category," Toon said. "We have come to expect great net play from Nikki, but she also had an outstanding night in the back row.
"Libby exhibited dynamite and explosive hitting," Toon said. "She was awesome. Corrine is small, but mighty. She gave us high-quality play out of the middle. Kayla ran the offense great. She is one of the top statistical setters in the NWAACC."
The Warriors (18-18_ close out their season with two matches this week. They are at Walla Walla University on Monday and host league rival Treasure Valley on Wednesday.
"If we can take this type of quality into our last two matches, I will be very pleased," Toon said.
