Janet Margaret McQuary, age 66 years, of Dayton, died Nov. 4, 2010, at her home. Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at the Hubbard-Rogg Chapel with Father Bob Turner officiating. Private burial will be in the Dayton City Cemetery. Those who wish may contribute to Walla Walla Hospice, Providence St. Mary Regional Cancer Center or charity of the donor's choice. Jan was born Jan. 9, 1944, in Davenport, Iowa. Her parents are J. Donald and Margaret Mooney Dalton. She graduated from Central Community High School in DeWitt, Iowa, with the class of 1962 and AIC Business School in 1963. On Oct. 22, 1966, she married Robert R. McQuary in a ceremony held in Welton, Iowa. They lived in Kentucky and California before coming to Dayton in the early 1970s. She was office
manager and receptionist for her husband's chiropractic office until his death in 2002. In recent years she was employed by Columbia Transportation and the Dayton Chamber of Commerce.
She was a member of the Eagles Auxillary, Bonitas, Dayton Development Task Force, and past secretary/
treasurer of the Bluewood Blazers Ski team. She enjoyed bowling, softball and playing Bingo.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Amber McQuary of Walla Walla; two granddaughters, Reese and Ava McQuary; her mother, Margaret Dalton of DeWitt, Iowa; two sisters and brothers-
in-law, Betty and Duane Hite of Grand Mound, Iowa, Debbie and Randy Lewis of Dayton; two brothers and sister-in-law, Don and Barb Dalton of The Village, Fla., and Tom Dalton of Clinton, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband and father.
