WALLA WALLA - Jillian Davis, an outside hitter on the Whitman College volleyball team, is one of seven players - and the only first-year athlete - voted to the All-Northwest Conference First Team.

Middle blocker Courtney Brewer received Honorable Mention in the season-ending vote by conference coaches.

Davis, 5-feet-9-inches, turned heads in the NWC with a swing that generated 378 kills to lead the conference. Her kills-per-game average (3.60) ranks second.

Davis delivered 28 service aces (the fifth-highest total in the NWC) and contributed on the defensive side with 387 digs. She was No. 8 with 3.67 digs per game.

Brewer, 5-11, anchored the middle on defense and offense. She was ninth in the NWC in blocks (0.82 per game), 12th in hitting percentage (.202), and 20th in kills (2.06).

With 86 total blocks (12 solo, 74 assists), Brewer finished with the second-highest total in the conference.
