WALLA WALLA -- Providence St. Mary Medical Center will present a free diabetes educational talk, "Taking Control," on Nov. 18, 5 p.m., in the Providence Room on Level 1 of the hospital.
The speaker will be Gina Gaudefroy from the A1C Champions Program, a patient-led approach to diabetes education sponsored by pharmaceutical company, sanofi-aventis.
A1C Champions share their diabetes self-management and lifestyle strategies based on extensive training and their own personal experience with diabetes. Topics will include achieving good glucose control, learning about effective self-management, developing a balanced, healthy lifestyle and overcoming fears surrounding diabetes.
