Port commissioners to meet Thursday in Seattle


Port of Walla Walla commissioners will meet Thursday in Seattle for a meeting with the agency's special legal counsel.

Port officials will be on the west side of the state for the annual meeting of the Washington Public Ports Association.

While in Seattle commissioners will meet with Adam Gravley and Denice Trimble from Gordon Derr LLP to receive an update on the Port's Wallula Gap water-right transfer applications, as well as an update on Chevron's cleanup efforts at the Port's Burbank Business Park.

Port commissioners will also receive a briefing on land-use matters related to the Burbank Business Park and the Skyview Property near the Walla Walla Regional Airport.

The meeting starts at 2:30 p.m. at the Gordon Derr offices, 2025 First Ave., suite 500. Those interested in following the meeting locally can listen via a conference call phone connection at the Port of Walla Walla office, 310 A St.
