WALLA WALLA - Wa-Hi's girls swimming teaming team concluded its season with its annual award banquet on campus Tuesday, handing out five awards to some of its most accomplished swimmers.

Emma Timm-Ballard, the lone member of the squad to make it to state, won Most Valuable Swimmer, while Cheyenne Schoen won the covetted Most Improved Swimmer Award.

"Emma was about as clear of a choice as we had in any category because of the fact that she's already a school record holder after just her freshman year, but pick someone who improved the most was much tougher because everyone on this team improved so much," said head coach Brad Daly.

Natalie Fink pulled down honors for Most Promising Swimmer honors, while Jessica Hutton was Most Inspirational. Tori Jones capped the honors with the Scholarship Athlete of the Year prize.
