COLLEGE BASKETBALL — Wolves lose battle of boards, game

WALLA WALLA - Walla Walla University's women's basketball team struggled to find space in the paint at home Wednesday, getting out-rebounded 44-18 by Eastern Oregon en route to 102-49 defeat to fell to 1-5 on the young season.

EOU was led by guard Nicole Redd's huge night. Redd made 10-of-12 shots from the field, including five threes, to tally 30 points. Nyesha Joseph notched a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards.

WWU got a strong night from Nicke Parks, who shot 7-of-19 from the field and notched a team-high 16 points to go with six rebounds.

WWU hosts the College of Idaho Friday.
