Another Thanksgiving with all the trimmings. The turkey feast has come and gone.
While the thought of photographing a person eating - actually putting prepared food in their mouth - has always conjured a certain "yuck" factor, visually feasting with birds is a whole different story.
There is a certain beauty and grace - and sometimes humor - to their hunt. And the scenery, even if it's nothing more than a clear blue, open sky, is often breathtaking.
Perhaps long ago our search for food through the primeval forests or sunlit savannahs was equally as interesting to watch.
For now, though, the comfort and security of a stroll down the grocery aisle takes a backseat to the daily struggle for survival of our often-hungry, feathered friends.
