Button up. Another round of winter weather is in the forecast.
According to the National Weather Service, a strong storm system is predicted to bring snow and freezing rain to the area tonight and Tuesday.
Snow is expected to develop tonight and accumulate before warmer air invades the region early Tuesday. A mixture of snow and freezing rain is likely across the lower Columbia Basin and the Walla Walla aea Tuesday morning before changing to rain around midday.
Forecasters said wet, unsettled weather will persist on Wednesday and Thursday as southwesterly winds pull Pacific moisture into the area.
