WALLA WALLA - Wa-Hi's volleyball team dropped a home tilt to Chiawana Thursday 21-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-15.

The Blue Devils were led by 12 kills and five blocks from Sydney Christiansen, six kills from Lexie Mahan and 17 digs by Tianna Cummings.

"It was an up and down kind of game for us," said Wa-Hi assistant coach Lindsey Mahan. "We did some things well, but we also struggled at times."

Wa-Hi also got 15 assists from Brogan Watson.

The Blue Devils are now 4-4 on the year and slated to take on Richland Thursday.

"We gave it a good fight," Mahan said. "We have a lot to be proud of, but we just didn't have quite enough to get the win."
