WENATCHEE - Walla Walla Community College put on an impressive showing on the road Wednesday, dropping Treasure Valley in straight sets 25-18, 25-19, 25-12.
WWCC was led by 11 kills and two blocks from Nikki Long and 10 kills and two blocks from Britany Dominguez.
"Nikki has played great volleyball the past couple of weeks," said WWCC head coach Tim Toon. "She is dominating at the net."
Kayla Hanus added 36 assists, 3 aces and 16 digs.
"With a slim lead in game two, Kayla served three aces in a row and had a back row kill to set us up for the win," Toon said. "She came ready to play tonight."
Libby Kern notched six kills and three blocks, while Danielle Meehan posted seven kills and 17 digs. Laekynn Culpepper finished with 16 digs.
"Finally, we played a complete volleyball match," Toon said. "Offensively, we pounded the ball and got a lot of hitters involved."
Up next for the Warriors is a road match Wednesday against Spokane.
"In the first round of league play we lost to Spokane in a five-game battle," Toon said. "A win against them next Wednesday would be huge."
