I have known and worked with Bill White for over 20 years in law enforcement. He started out as a deputy sheriff in 1980. He has learned from the many years of experience and extensive training. He has excelled in the many various and complicated areas of being a professional law enforcement officer. Bill's training far exceeds what is required of him.
For the past 12 years he has served as a captain in the current administration. Bill has been heavily involved in the daily duties of running the Sheriff's Office as well as planning for the future. He continues to work toward making improvements that will help ensure the protection of the citizens of Walla Walla County while working through budget constraints.
During this current political campaign I have seen an apparent theme by some that the Walla Walla Sheriff's Office needs fixing. Starting with past Sheriff Bill Jackson and current Sheriff Mike Humphreys, the citizens of Walla Walla County can be proud of an agency that is professional and up-to-date in modern police policies and practices. Bill White has had an integral part in making this happen.
To the deputies and other staff of the Walla Walla Sheriff's Office -- be proud of your department and yourselves. Keep up the excellent job you have been doing. Vote for Bill White, he will continue the excellent legacy that the past two administrations have accomplished.
