Talk at Whitman College to focus on diversity of animal pollinators

WALLA WALLA -- Whitman College biology professor Heidi Dobson will discuss plant pollination and a glimpse into the diversity of animal pollinators on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Room 142 of the college's Hall of Science.

Dobson's research addresses the role of color and odor, especially in relation to pollen, in flower selection by bees, investigated through behavioral studies of wild bee species and chemical analyses of flower fragrances.
