WWU President John McVay, left, is given the honor of assisting with the flag ceremony and flag pole dedication Tuesday afternoon at the Veterans Association of Walla Walla University(VAWWU) offices at 21 SW Fourth Street. The flag pole was recycled by the college's plant services department from an old light fixture. This is the VAWWU office's first flag pole. 'We want to honor this great country and the veterans who have served it,” explained Esteban Rodriguez (see other photo), VAWWU president and senior forensic psychology major at WWU.
