SPOKANE - Spokane defeated Walla Walla Community College in four sets, 24-16, 25-10, 21-25, 25-21 in Spokane Wednesday.
Brittany Dominguez led WWCC with 14 kills and 2 blocks, while Nikki Long added 10 kills and blocs, while Kayla Hanus added 35 assists and 11 digs.
"Dominguez was a freshman playing like a veteran," said WWCC head coach Tim Toon. "Kayla has embraced her opportunity to run a single setter offense."
Carley Miller and Laekynn Culpepper posted 19 and 20 digs respectively, and Corrine Holbrook chipped in eightkills.
"Games three and four represent the kind of volleyball this team is capable of playing," Toon said. "Spokane is a very good team, and we stayed right with them. We blocked pretty well and played great defense."
WWCC next plays at the Clark Crossover Tourney, which starts Friday.
