ECHO - Helix's volleyball team picked up its first league volleyball win of the season in a five-set thriller over Echo Thursday, 25-12, 16-25, 25-23, 23-25, 16-14.
Chyanne Hack led Helix with 17 kills and six aces, while Niccy Thompson went 18-for-19 from the service line.
Claire Ely added eight aces.
"I thought my kids did a real good job," said Helix head coach Tammy Parker. "We showed what we could do, and we got a lot of great efforts."
Helix (2-12, 1-4) will look to improve on its win streak tomorrow against Condon-Wheeler.
