MILTON-FREEWATER - Mac-Hi boys finished second in its annual Gutbuster 5K cross country meet Friday.
Baker's boys won the race.
Mac-Hi's John Lonai took fifth with a time of 18:35.
Kaleb Taylor (18:54) got seventh place.
"The boys finished about where we expected them to and the girls had two good finishes," said Mac-Hi coach John Milleson. "It was a good meet for us. Better times for everyone across the board."
For the girls, Emily Childers finished second in 21:35 and Kathleen Hopkins had fourth in 25:23.
Lucas Simpson finished in a tie for second in the boys race with a time of 18:00.
Mac-Hi runs in the Kyle Burnside Memorial Wildhorse Invite Friday and at districts the next week.
Two runners from Walla Walla Valley Academy also competed.
Brian Wittlake finished 16th in 20:18 for the boys and Lauren Spicklemier ran to seventh in 25:56.
