PREP CROSS COUNTRY — Weston-McEwen harriers have five personal bests at invite


STANFIELD - The TigerScots posted five personal best times in the Eastern Oregon 1A/2A Cross Country Invitational Friday.

"It was a great day for cross country racing in beautiful NE Oregon," said W-M head coach Loran Monaco. "At Stanfield, the conference title for 1A and 2A was on the line (Friday) afternoon as the smaller schools from the area met."

Union High School won both the boys' and girls' titles.

Weston-McEwen's Jacob Christopher finished fourth for the boys in 17:41. Union's Michael O'Reilly won in 17:11. Weston-McEwen's other finisher was Daniel Winn in 19:14.

W-M's Danielle Hinchcliffe finished 24:04 for a tie for ninth, and Melissa Huskey and Lizzy Huskey had 24:47 and 28:40, respectively, in a three-way tie for 16th.
