POMEROY - Pomeroy dropped a tough match to league-leading Tekoa-Oakesdale at home Tuesday, falling in four sets, 25-10, 25-19, 24-26, 25-21.

"They're a really good team, and when you play a team like that, it's like the saying goes, ‘You gotta bring your A-game when you play a team that good,'" said Pomeroy head coach Bruce Crossfield. "Unfortunately, we didn't do that."

Kendsey Bott led Pomeroy with six blocks and 11 kills, and Delaney Monahan also finished the game with six blocks and six kills. HayLee Koller and Maddie Grimm had perfect service nights, going 14-for-14 and 15-for-15 respectively.

"We dug ourselves too many holes and made too many mistakes," Crossfield said. "We played well in the third set, but we just ran out of points in the end."

The loss drops Pomeroy to 10-2 on the season. They play at Touchet Thursday.
