COUER D'ALENE - The Whitman Reapers rugby club traveled for a match against North Idaho College here Saturday, with the visitors bringing home the 32-17 victory.
The Reapers took a 24-7 lead into halftime on the strength of two tries by center Ryon Campbell and one apiece from 8-man Ben Skotheim and flanker Matt Booth. Campbell made two of his conversion attempts.
The second half saw North Idaho close the cap to 24-17, but a late penalty kick by Campbell and then a try at the final whistle by Campbell made the final score 32-17 in favor of Whitman.
The victory takes Whitman's record to 1-1-1 as the Reapers are set to host the Pendleton R.F.C. at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ankeny Field.
