Kirkman House Museum, 214 N. Colville St., will hold a workshop to create a unique, woven ribbon stocking, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 6.
Participants will create a beautiful stocking woven out of a variety of colored ribbons in a class taught by textile artisan Susan Swayne. No weaving experience is necessary. The stocking may require some sewing and use of a hot iron. Children must be accompanied by an adult and should have experience with these tools. This is an opportunity for family members to each create an individualized stocking for their hearth.
For $50 per person, adults and mature children will receive all the materials and instructions needed to create a stocking to take home. Participants must register by Oct. 29. To register call the museum at 509-529-4373 or e-mail email@example.com.
