WALLA WALLA -- Walla Walla General Hospital will present a symposium on spirituality care Nov. 11 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., in the hospital's auditorium.
This realm is an integral part of health care, but one often forgotten in the hustle and bustle of physical healing, organizers say.
This is the hospital's first effort in discussing findings from research in the field over the past two decades and how the findings affect care in the Walla Walla Valley. The half-day educational event features researcher and educator Paul Crampton. He is assistant vice-president for mission and spiritual care at Adventist Health.
The symposium is tailored for members of the clergy, lay ministers, physicians and other health-care providers, but is open to all. Registration is $20 for the first participant and $10 for each additional participant from the same organization, and includes lunch. Deadline to register is Nov. 4.
