Wilma McBain drops off ballots in one of three new drop boxes the Walla Walla County Auditor's Office has installed locally. Voters who want to save the cost of a stamp can now deposit their ballots in the boxes, which are in the alleyway behind the Walla Walla County Courthouse; at the city of Walla Walla fire station on Wilbur Avenue; and on the north side of College Place City Hall next to the post office box. Voters who use the drop boxes have until 8 p.m. on Nov. 2 to deposit ballots. Those who choose to mail ballots must remember that envelopes have to be postmarked Nov. 2, so envelopes must be dropped off before that day's final pickup.
