WALLA WALLA - Wa-Hi's swim team closed out its regular season with a 94-76 home win against Moses Lake behind several strong individual and relay showings Thursday.
Max Timm-Ballard took first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:04.63 and the 100 butterfly, posting 1:04.48.
Jessica Hutton took the 50 freestyle in 26.52 and also place second in the 100 freestyle, while Tori Jones won the 500 free in 5:44.57, and placed second in the 100 backstroke.
Abby Crowley took home a victory in the 100 backstoke, and she placed second in the 200 individual medley.
"Abby's performance in the medley was huge for us as a team," said Wa-Hi head coach Brad Daly. "She shaved about five seconds off her best time which is really rare at this point in the season."
Elli Rassbach finished second in the 100 backstroke and third in the 200 freestyle. Cheyenne Schoen took third in both the 200 individual medley and 100 IM, while Anna Reid took third in the 100 freestyle.
On the relay side, the team of Rassback, Jones, Maya Rapp and Hutton placed second in the 200 medley and Hutton, Crowley, Schoen and Timm-Ballard won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:47.45, closely followed by Reid, Bailey Ruff, Natalie Fink and Rapp, who scored a second place finish.
The Blue Devils also got the win in the 400 fresstyle with a time of 3:59.36 from Timm-Ballard, Crowley, Schoen and Jones.
"Our relay teams really performed," Daly said. "We were coming of some illnesses, and our girls really came back strong tonight."
Wa-Hi closes out the regular season tied for second place at 3-2, and the team heads to districts Oct. 29 in Ellensburg.
