WALLA WALLA -- A fight in the driveway of a Chase Avenue residence ended with one man being tasered by a sheriff's deputy.

According to a Walla Walla County Sheriff's report, when the deputy arrived at the scene shortly after midnight Friday, there were several people in the driveway at 505 Chase Ave.

The deputy said he witnessed Wyatt B. Joerger push a woman and then swing at her but miss.

The deputy said he immediately announced his presence, at which point Joerger ran to the backyard and began scaling a fence.

The deputy pursued Joerger and yelled a number of times that he would taser the man; he then shot Joerger in the back with the taser and apprehended him, according to the report.

Joerger was turned over to city police at the scene.

The police report provided minimal details of the incident, but a Walla Walla County Jail report listed Joerger as having been arrested on investigation of assault.
