Voting has changed a bit over the years and I am still getting use to mailing off my ballot. But voting is more important than ever and electing public servants that represent our values and have the experience to handle the job is a responsibility we all share.
If you have ever been to court for any reason, you know how important a good judge can be. You want your judge to be educated and experienced but also compassionate and fair.
Your future or that of a loved one could hang in the balance. On the back of your ballot at the very bottom you will find the box for District Court Judge -- Part Time.
Fortunately, there is a candidate who makes the choice easy, Kristian E. Hedine.
Hedine is a long-time resident of our Valley and has 28 years of experience as a lawyer and judge. This experience includes both jury and bench trials in civil an criminal cases. And for me, it is important to know that he has experience not only as a municipal attorney and handled appeals at the state level, but that he is a trained mediator and has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution. This tells me he is well rounded in his approach to the law and will use all the resources available when on the bench.
I have known Kris Hedine's family for over 15 years and know him to be honest and a careful thinker. Please join me in electing Kris Hedine for part-time District Court judge.
