Flu shots for veterans offered at upcoming clinics

The Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial Veterans Affairs Medical Center is encouraging veterans to get immunized against this year's flu season at one of the following clinics:

  • Thursday, noon-6 p.m., Building 78 on the VA campus.
  • Friday, 2-6 p.m., Building 78 on the VA campus.
  • Wednesday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., National Guard Armory, 113. S. Colville St.
  • Nov. 11, 3-6 p.m., VA drive-through clinic.

All enrolled veterans in the Walla Walla and surrounding area can get the free vaccination by coming to one of the clinics and presenting identification that shows veteran status; no appointment is needed. The H1N1 vaccine is included in with the seasonal vaccine.
