Pirate volleyball sweeps St. John-Endicott

POMEROY - Pomeroy wrapped up its volleyball regular season with a three-game victory over St. John-Endicott here Tuesday, 25-23, 26-24, 25-20.

"We had big leads in the first two (games), and they came back at the end to make it interesting," Pirates coach Bruce Crossfield said.

Kindsey Bott had 10 kills in the match, Delaney Monahan blocks four hits, Melissa Bartlow recorded 13 assists and Haylee Koller smacked four aces for the Pirates.

The match was also Senior Night in Pomeroy, with Bartlow, Sydni Gormsen, Maddie Grimm and Sadie Slaybaugh playing their final home match.
