ELGIN - Weston-McEwen's volleyball team closed out a stellar regular season with a grueling win over Elgin on the road Tuesday, 25-20, 25-20, 20-25, 25-22.
Morgan Entze led the way for the TigerScots with 21 assists and eight blocks, while Jordan Reger notched 20 assists and three aces and Tiffany Cain finished with 13 digs and 16 kills.
Renee Baumann posted 25 digs and 17 kills, and Katy West posted eight blocks. Haley Freske notched six kills and six blocks and a perfect 13-for-13 service night, while Jaymie Zimmerman was 11-for-12 from the line with an assist.
"It was a big match for us heading into districts," W-M coach Shawn White said. "We already had our District one seed locked up, but this will keep our state RPI at the top."
