RICHLAND - Waitsburg-Prescott's volleyball team finished its season with a valiant effort, falling in five sets to Liberty Christian on the road Tuesday night, 18-25, 25-23, 25-13, 20-25, 15-11.
Rachelle Oseth led the team with 11 digs, while Kayla Huxoll was the high assister, finishing with 16. She also had a perfect night at the service line, going 26-for-26.
Iris Batella posted 8 kills, while Ronnie Hulce and Alyssa Hafen posted six each.
"The last time the girls played Liberty Christian it only went three sets so this shows improvement," said W-P head coach Karen Huwe. "To push this one to five shows improvement and gives them something to build upon."
W-P closes out its year with a record of 3-10, and did not qualify for the postseason.
