Malani Keta Helyss Meza of Milton-Freewater passed away Oct. 19, 2010, at her home at the age of 6 years. Memorial services will be Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at 3 p.m. at the the Stateline Community Church with Pastor Owen Frost officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family of Malani Meza through the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main St., Milton-Freewater, OR 97862.
Malani was born Dec. 27, 2003, in Walla Walla, the daughter of Efrain Meza and Mari Quezada Meza. She attended kindergarten and first grade at Ferndale School near Milton-Freewater. Malani enjoyed horses, fishing, dancing, modeling, clothes, makeup, jewelry, coloring and drawing. She also enjoyed roughhousing with her brothers. She was a member of the Stateline Community Church Girls Club. Malani loved God and her parents. Their pastor would love to tell you about the plan of salvation so that you know eternal life and see Malani again.
She is survived by her parents, Mari and Efrain Meza at the home; five brothers, Christian Meza and Jacob Meza both of Milton-Freewater, Rudy Lucero of Pendleton, Jose Lucero of Las Vegas and Kasey Meza of Germany; four sisters, Genesis Meza, Galilea Meza and Stephanie Meza all of Milton-Freewater and Sara Meza of College Place; grandparents, Manuel Meza of Milton-Freewater, Jose Luis Quezada of College Place, Judy Lindhag of Colfax and Phyllis Stratton and Helen Self, both of Lowden; and numerous cousins.
