RICHLAND - Walla Walla Valley Academy closed out its 2010 season with a win over Tri-Cities Prep on the road Wednesday, 25-23, 25-16, 25-14, to finish the year 7-5.
Brianna Leen led WWVA with 12 kills, while Sonrisa Wagner's seven digs paced the team.
"We've been struggling with illness for a while now so working in new rotations is always difficult," said WWVA head coach Scott Schafer. "Still, our girls adjusted and this was a good way to end the season."
Amanda Birney went 15-for-16 at the service line with six aces, while Brooklyn Larson finished with 16 assists.
WWVA, which does not play on Saturdays, will not participate in the postseason. So Wednesday's win marked the end of the Knights' year.
