Suzie Fugleberg of 1444 Jackson St., Walla Walla, Wa. Passed away on October 23rd., at St. Mary's Hospital following a short illness.
She was born December 12, 1932, in Walla Walla to Samuel and Sadie Nelson Allessio. She attended school in Yakima later returning to Walla Walla. Suzie married Herb Amo in 1950. They had two daughters, Mary Lynn and Cathy. They later divorced, but remained good friends. On July 29, 1963, she married Dallas Fugleberg. This marriage received one son, Dallas (Tuffy) Fugleberg. Suzie retired form the Mcfeely Tavern after a 35 year career in bartending. She was most happy when she could sit all night at the Penny Train slot machine at Wildhorse.
She is survived by one son, Dallas Fugleberg; daughter, Cathy Amo Fitzgerald and a daughter and son in-law Mary Lynn and Michael Johnson; 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Her devoted little brother and sister in-law Howard (Dobbie) and Donna Allessio. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Herb Amo, second husband Dallas Fugleberg, a grandson Adam Fugleberg, sisters Violet Allessio Bates, Josie Allessio Elsminger, Geneva Allessio Hamlin and three brothers Albert, Sam and James.
Her children invite all family and friends to attend a potluck Celebration of Life for their mom Suzie and their fathers Dallas Fugleberg and Herb Amo on Saturday, October 30th, Pioneer Park Garden Center from 1-4pm. Arrangements are thru Herring Groseclose Funeral Home.
