Walla Walla Road Runners to hold Labor Day runs

MILTON-FREEWATER - The Walla Walla Road Runners are hsoting the 34th annual Labor Day one-mile runs at 9 a.m. Monday at Shockman Field in Milton-Freewater.

The event consists of three one-mile runs: one for runners who predict a time under 8 minutes; one for runners who predict a time over 8 minutes; and one for kids 12 years old or younger. There will also be a 100-meter dash for kids 10 and under and one for other runners.

The event is open to all runners and walkers. There is no entry fee.

There is a complimentary brunch at Dawn Array on the Umapine Highway after the runs. Children's play areas are available and all entrants and their families are welcome.
