- Benjamin P. Foster, 34, 105 Newell St., was sentenced Aug. 26 on one count violation of Uniform Controlled Substances Act-possession of methamphetamine. The court dismissed two other counts. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $85.20 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $1,000 violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act fee, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 crime lab and biological fees, 60 days in the county jail, 60 days converted to Department of Corrections work crew, 12 months community custody. On Aug. 23 Foster pleaded guilty to unlawfully possessing methamphetamine Oct. 15, 2009.
- Randall S. Berry, 29, 1163/4 W. Birch St., was sentenced Aug. 30 on one count each second-degree malicious mischief, second-degree stolen property, second-degree theft and second-degree burglary. The court dismissed three other counts. The sentence included restitution of $32,145., $200 in court costs, $81 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $100 biological fee, 330 days in the county jail. On May 24, Berry pleaded guilty to damaging property worth in aggregate more than $750 but less than $5,000 for plea purposes; possessing others' property knowing it was stolen, being more than $750 but less than $5,000 between March 10-15; wrongfully obtaining a bicycle worth more than $750 but less than $5,000 on March 11; and entering and remaining in a building with intent to commit a crime against property Feb. 26.
