WALLA WALLA -- Providence St. Mary Medical Center will offer a free screening to assess the risk of falling for people with Parkinson's Disease and other movement disorders at 4 p.m. Saturday, in the Providence Room on Level 1.
Information will also be provided about rehabilitation.
It is estimated one-third to one-half of people over age 65 experience falls, and one out of five of those will be injured during the fall.
The screening will be particularly helpful for Parkinson's patients who have suffered a previous fall, feel unsteady on their feet and/or use a cane or walker.
