WWCC women's soccer wins, men lose on the road

VANCOUVER, Wash. - The Walla Walla Community College men's soccer team took its first loss of the season to Peninsula Wednesday.

The Warriors, 3-1 overall, lost 3-2.

Peninsula scored first at three minutes in.

WWCC tied it off Marco Acevedo at 24 minutes, but Peninsula answered again for a 2-1 lead.

The Warriors' Talon Wyatt tied it yet again at 86 minutes, but it wasn't enough.

The Pirates' booted in the game winner two minutes later.

Walla Walla's Martin Ramirez had a yellow card and coach Chad Bodnar had a red card in the match.

The WWCC women defeated Green River, 6-1. No further information was available.

The Warriors host Whatcom Saturday. The women play at noon and the men play at 2 p.m.
