Warrior women remain undefeated with soccer shutout of Whatcom

WALLA WALLA - Three second-half goals broke open a tight contest Saturday afternoon as defending NWAACC champion Walla Walla coasted to a 4-0 over Whatcom in women's collegiate soccer action on the Warriors' pitch.

WWCC improved its record to 5-0 and has now outscored its opponents 21-2.

Kaylie Winston broke a scoreless tie with a goal in the 23rd minute of the contest.

After halftime, it was all Warriors. Dominique Alston doubled Walla Walla's lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 55th minute.

Justine Jones contributed to the Warriors' latter tallies. She scored at the 64-minute mark and assisted on a goal by Marianne Johnson in minute No. 89.

The Warriors will be in western Washington next weekend for NWAACC counters at Shoreline on Friday and Everett on Saturday.
