LETTERS TO THE EDITOR - Why are Iraqis considered 'enemy?'

I won't dispute Mr. Davis' support of John Turner, though it seems to be more of a support for the conflict in Iraq.

I will dispute Mr. Davis' characterization of "enemy" insurgents "murdering" our service men and women.

First, why are Iraqis considered "enemy?" The U.S. invaded Iraq and is still occupying it. At no time has the U.S. even made a declaration of war against Iraq.

We are their enemies, it seems to me. And, if Iraq had invaded the U.S. would Mr. Davis accuse U.S. citizens of "murdering" Iraqi invaders? I think not. He would probably call us "patriots protecting our country."

As for Iraqis murdering their own citizens, we seem to do a pretty good job of murdering our own citizens, also.
