College Place City Council members are Mayor Rick Newby, William Jenkins, Alexander Scott, Marge Nyhagen, Bernie Yanke, Larry Dickerson, Steve Dickerson and Scott Duncan. With all present Monday, the council voted as follows:
- development: Approved an amended development agreement with Gilbert Auto Group Properties for construction of Commercial Drive. Changes of note provide for payment by Gilbert Auto Group Properties of the initial contribution, plus interest by Oct. 30 in the amount of $171,512.07 and 15 annual payments of $135,000 beginning Feb. 15, 2012. Unanimous.
- fiber optic: Approved franchise agreement with Spectrum Networks Inc. to establish a fiber optic network within city. A second related item, a lease agreement to locate fiber optic line at city public works shop, was removed. Unanimous.
- wastewater: Approved agreement with Natural Selection Farms Inc. to take bio-solids from city wastewater plant for use on farmlands in Central Washington. Unanimous.
- infrastructure: Approved resolution to accept infrastructure of Homestead Village Phase 1A and 1B into city systems. Unanimous.
